View Full Version : Another Porsche/Kerscher brake converstion question

I have a line on some pretty crusty Porsche 4-piston calipers. From casual inspection, they look pretty rough and would need at least a rebuild but could be worse. The asking price is pretty cheap (could be free with some bartering) I'd have to clean them off to get part numbers and as they don't belong to me (yet), I don't have a part number nor do I have any info on what porsche they came from.
Anyway, they are 4-piston calipers and, through some quick research, look somewhat similar to those used in the 4-piston calipers for the Kerscher and CSP kits (as shown on their website http://www.kerscher-tuning.de/kaefer/detail.php?id=68). As I already have the vented front discs on my 1302 from CSP (but with the Ghia calipers), I'm interested in doing the upgrade if the brakes would fit and are salvageable.

On to the questions:
1) Anyone know which porsche calipers the Kerscher or CSP kits use?
2) Do they clear 15" Fuchs alloys (aka Porsche 2.0l alloys)? I can be convinced to go to a 16" or larger wheel but that would involve new struts and new rotors.

Regards,
Brian
