Would 996 calipers work with boxster front calipers at rear?

I think that these have same size pistons.

Using brake proportioning valve to adjust brake bias.

I think that these have same size pistons.

Using brake proportioning valve to adjust brake bias.

I use that exact combo: 996 front calipers at front and 2,5ltr front Boxster calipers at the rear.
I still could do with a little more rear bias... still not needing to use my proportioning valve unfortunately. Weird, I know, but it is what it is.

Lerned that every combo of car is so much different it really makes little sense to ask others that even run the same combo if it will 'work' with your own car...

sorry..

Wery good to know, now i probably dont have to sell my boxster calipers. Well, proportioning valve will be installed if needed. Are 996 calipers matt black also like boxster calipers?

What size rotors do you have? I was planning to use stock 944 turbo rotors at rear and front maybe 330x28 wilwood GT rotors, because i have 12x7" pcd hats for them allready.

Front: ceramic 350x28, rear stock steel: 300x24mm

Didn't you used to have something else? Steel rotors? Are from calipers from basic 996 or from turbo etc?

Yes, I have run most thinkable and unthinkable porsche brake combinations on type 1's (bugs), type 3's and type 4's, hence the last sentence I threw in there the first time: ;)
