Late Model VW Disc Brakes

Has anyone fitted late model VW disc brakes to their Super Beetle? If so, I'd appreciate some information about what is needed to make them fit. I noticed the other day that my local junk yard has a B5.5 Passat and I've always been happy with the brakes in my GTIs which I reckon are very similar to the Passats and would probably provide decent braking power for the SB.
