Cheers gents! Thanks for the positive comments.

It's not actually a true square headlight T3, I broke my RHD headlights so opted for a Maestro headlight conversion.

I've hardly got any pictures of the inside. It's pretty stock inside so far. Bathroom needs freshening up and also I'd like a proper toilet fitted. Only mod I've done inside to the interior is the full width front bench seat so far. That and hot water at the kitchen sink. It's the best for camping and going to shows. Usually the envy of everyone :)

Day one in the return journey home
From Holland where I bought it.

Vintage tyres. Had troubles with both rears which were brand new just fecking old. Both had similar boldges in them.

Decided to go for a better load rating on the rear. I'm hugely over the requirement now.

New vs stock vs fecked

New tyres on the rear are 285/35/18 I think. Might be a 40 profile though. Contemplating get the matching front wheels but that's gonna have to wait for a while as I wasn't anticipating have to fork out for two sets of wheels for this van so quickly.

1.9TDI AFN Diesel engine. Massively regret fitting this and should have gone for a Subaru H6.

My finished bench seat. Well chuffed with how this has come out.

What an awesome machine. I've never seen one like that. Why do you wish you went with the Subaru H6 instead?

There is an entire following for them and I also believe there is a couple of them over in the states.

The forum will usually pick up any that come up for sale. It's a very activate group of members on there.

As for the H6. I myself am more so familiar Subaru engines more so then anything. The van originally had a 1.6 TD Jx engine. The AFN is the last evolution of that engine which made sense as to why I went down this route. However living with the AFN, I would like to be able to stick the van into 5th gear and cruise at my desired speed up hill, down hill, where ever I want to go...... 65MPH is top speed as any faster and things don't feel good. The AFN just doesn't have enough guts to do what I want out of it. The H6 i feel would be able too. I could go for a an Audi V6/8 however I'm pretty sure the engine hatch will need raising which then imposes into the living space. In hindsight the Subaru H6 and a Subaru gears conversion most probably. In reality I'll just get the AFN tuned as gaining torque from the 1.9tdi is easily obtained from a remap. Also I have a flipped Audi box fitted in place of the VW 3H. With my larger rear wheels my 5th gear is unusable. I just need more power :)

I believe I've seen turbo kits for this engine -- would make a huge difference!

Your correct. In fact apparently you can simply fit a PD 130 or PD150 turbo and also fit the inlet manifold also, remap and then you can achieve huge gains.

But to be honest I'm just happy the thing runs and doesn't give me any grief. It's nice and simple. Leaves me time to sort out my Notchback.
