Ended up having my G50 serviced/shortened by CMS. Here is the info I used to initially tear it down:

Removed the cover:

Air impact to remove the 40mm and 19mm?:

Used a Proto Puller after grinding off most of the arm material to fit under the gears:

Working on a long socket to remove the input shaft from the gear assembly:
