Will 944T brakes fit under 16" Fuchs?

Was wanting to fit Early Cup-style 16x8 and 16x7 wheels on my type 3..

The 8s are just too wide..

Love those 16x7 and 16x6 Fuchs from the 911SC and such..

Will those wheels clear my 944T Brembo 4-pot calipers?

I know I'll have to run narrowed arms, and likely spacers to deal with the offset,
But how much (if any) spacer will it take to get the wheels to clear those calipers?

Anybody ever try this one?

Alot of spacer, about 18- 20mm.

The 951 part number 16"fuchs will fit without spacer as the spokes allow for the calipers. The 911 pn ones will require alot of spacer

I'm guessing that the 951 part number ones are from the 944?
Those that are typically black-centered, anodized rim?
Are you sure they come in 6" wide?
All I can find seem to be 7 and 8..

They do have a slightly different look than the 911 ones, right?
Instead of the rim being flat around the edge where it meets the center,
The 951 wheels are dished a bit, and have a bevel, like the 7" rears?

The rear 7s fit no problem,
But you have to deal with the offset,
Like narrowed arms and short axles, right?

Yeah the 951 (944turbo) only came 7 and 8, both 23mm offset.

The modern offset wheels +52 to +55mm will fit better and clear the calipers, if you like the look.

Hey Lanner. Good to hear from you. I need some help. I want to run porsche cup2 rims and porsche big red brake kit, can i run this under stock fenders with stock size axle beam, if i am to run wide fenders how wide will they be. I really am not interested in running a narrowed axle beam.

Ok. I see where some guys run the 944 steel trailing arms on thier beetles, but taking a closer look at those arms they are just the same as the beetle IRS arms. Why the change if they look the same. I am also going to assume that they are the same.

Is that confirmed? I've heard that a million times, but no one is ever willing to cut up the 944 arms to prove it.

Ive never been brave enough to find out, seems like a waste of good parts. Maybe one day :)

But also there is a difference in the hole layout where the TA connects to springplate due to the adjustments available on 944 that are not on bug.

Yes, I've cut mine open as I needed more clearance for a coil-over.

924 arms also have the internal reinforcement, I like the versatility and modability of the steel arms, mine are flipped for camber reduction and have re located lower shock mounts to the top of the arms, additional gussets further stiffen the 'elbow' area against cornering forces, the upper mounts are integral to the roll cage.
