I want to put New Jetta Wheels on my '68 Bug. The wheels I'm looking at are 16X6.5 et 42. I'm planning on obtaining 5x100 drilled drums. ALL ELSE STOCK. Will these fit? Do I have to have the snout ground down on the Drum to accept the Wheels? Thanks for the feed back.

the rear drums may be an issue, I know on my car, the rear drum snout sticks out thru the center cap.

I am not really worried about it, becuase I plan on replacing the drums with discs.

I had 17x7 Jetta split stars on my car.

The 16's will fit easy. You'll just have to redrill the drums, and come up with a creative solution for the caps.

PICS

I don't have any more pics, the rims are a buddies that I posed up onto my car. They looked nice, I wouldn't mind a set actually. The prob is that the rims surface for around $1400C, which is more than I'm looking to spend right now.

I just picked up my 16' with tires from a 2002 Jetta GLX. Off eBay for $202.50. Wheels are perfect, and so are the slightly used tires. I couldn't pick up 4 stock tires, mounted for that.... What a deal.. now, to get them mounted, and What to do with the rear end caps.??? Any suggestions? I'm planning on going with redrilled drums.

if they are ET42, then you have plenty of room to use up to a 10mm spacer to clear the castle nut on the rear axle...

Shouldn't be a problem, but measure up first, and use the smallest spacer necessary. Also, watch that your bolts are long enough to still hold tight with the spacers on. You may need longer bolts...

Anyone know where I can get a 10 - 15 mm spacers for 5X100 bolt pattern. I need these to clear the castle nut in the rear. If I'm using a spacer in the back, I wish I could just find an adaptor to go from stock to 5X100. I'm considering ordering redrilled drums; as this seems to be the cheapest way to get my late model VW wheels on mi coche. Thanks for any suggestions / help!

SCAT offers adapters for the 5 on 100 pattern, I am looking at a set. The only problem is they are an inch, which is like having a 25.4mm spacer, you would definitely need wider fenders!!
