911 Headlamps

I'm sure I've read about people fitting 911 Headlamps in to early sloping wing - is this easy to do? Am I imagining it? Any info greatly received.

All you do is put the 911 lens in the VW light assembly.

There is nothing difficult about it. Remove the original headlamps and replace them with the 911's.
Don't forget the rubber seal between wing/fender and the headlamp.

I never realised it was that easy!

Presumably late 911 headlamps are H4 units - does this mean I'll be able to see at night now if I do this swap?
