I have a 1970 Ghia that I would like to lower and use Porsche style wheels on. Am I correct in understanding that you have the same offset wheel all around? The 52mm offset wheels?

Do you have any problems with wheels rubbing & such?

Thanks in advance.

What methods and how much did you lower the car? How is the ride quality with the Konis up front and the Bilsteins out back.

Any difference in turning radius?

Thanks in advance.

are you talking about this 4speed or the one from Miami with the Silver 67 Beetle?

Neither of them has been seen on the net in a while.
In fact this 4Speed has never even posted here on this forum.

Did you narrow the front axle beam or the rear trailing arms?

Your new wheels are 18" in diameter. How wide are they?
You are saying that they have a 25mm offset?

How did you lower the car?

Thanks in advance.

4SPEED

I didn't narrow the front axle beam or the rear trailing arms

I have to cut the wings of the ghia and I put expanders on the body

I thought so! The rear arches have the little nub that mates with the side trim of the Golf!

SLICK LOOK 4SPEED.

How does it handle now? Do you have any problems with rubbing when turning or anything?

Rodolfo

I think he's asking if there are any aerodynamic products available for the rear of his ghia to increase downforce. Any suggestions?

Very nice ...........
Even withe the 18's and the wheel arches it's very subtle.

How about an Audi TT rear spoiler? after all they were specifically designed
to aid rear end stablility at speed

What dimensions did you use for the front strut mount locations?

Did you shorten the framehead or leave it the stock length?

Thanks

For the engine, I saw that you have a 993 TT engine. I'm thinking about doing the same. How well does the engine fit? Did you have to cut any major structures out, or just the deck around the engine? The G50 you have, is it a six speed, or a five speed?

Thanks a lot.

4SPEED
April 30th 2007, 02:27
Hi,

The G50, it's a 6 speed G50/21.

My engine it is not a TT but a 272cv, and i have cut major structures.

What is a 272cv? On the member car description it says that you have a 993TT engine?
