My daily driver is the '68 "trash bug", the second ugliest bug in town. It gets down the freeway at 75mph ok but is much happier at 70mph. It was put together with parts from various bugs and the engine is of unknown size and mileage but runs ok, even better with the Mallory distrubutor that is going in my type 4 that is on the engine stand (still).

My wife drives the "race toaster", '96 plymouth voyager with turbo muffler, Eibach springs, 5 spoke alloy wheels and 225/60/15 tires, Ricer snorkel air intake. It will cruise at 90mph all day long (Montana is a BIG state) with that little mitsubishi 3.0l v6. I used to spin the tires at stop lights until I broke the auto trans!! It can easily scare the poser ricers!

I just picked up an '82 BMW 320is for my teenage daughter to drive. It's in my name but she will be driving it most of the time. Eibach springs, ported head, Msport 278 duration cam, stock CIS injection (I need to learn more about it so I can make more power), Battery moved to the trunk, front and rear strut braces, fabricated performace exhaust using a 2002tii exhaust manifold, merged collector, high flow cat and performace muffler. I would guess 135hp. It's a real kick to drive. My second daughter will take it over in a couple of years.

NYBugman1972
March 29th 2003, 11:23
Yeah, sure, phaeton...... with the V10 TDI.... ;)

He really likes the tall-ness of the Explorer. I have to say, it's a pretty nice car. I was against it at first, but it won me over. Then again, I had no choice :D

All I want is a Golf GLS with a TDI and an auto. I would go 5-speed but I plan on sharing this car with my sister. Cut out the muffler, Upsolute chip and a future injector upgrade and I'll be a happy guy.

And, of course, I'll have my Super to play with in the nice weather.

I jus got a addition to my "fleet" yesterday. It's a 2000 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-7R. I know it ain't keepn with my VW image but I needed another car since I'm putting the 1302 into storage, and the 914 isn't what I would classify as "trouble free", on top of loosing my place to wrench on my rides, as well as the rising costs of gas, so a bike seemed like the obvious next step. I'll try to post some current 914, and zx-7 pics when i get a chance to take sum. I would post some 1302 pics but it's really under construction right now and I'd rather surprise you'all.

Guess I'd better update my "other car"...

It's a 2000 New Beetle 1.8T Auto

The 912 just got sold and is going to live in Switzerland.

Dad bought a 1985 911 Factory Turbo Look (M491)

The Explorer is doing fine.

To get in and out of NYC, I still rely on public transportation. It's so much easier than dealing with parking in Manhattan.

Supa Ninja come on how can you guys complain about the price of Gas/Petrol, here in the UK we pay about 75% tax.
At the moment we have to pay £0:80 = $1:45 a litre

The new 1303, dosent look much, ex sports sedan, hasnt been used since 1985, the Prado is at the front. I musnt like the Prado much, thats about the only picture I have of it.

It snows a lot here so i had to have a great snow car... and man this sure is a kick *** snow car...80 in the snow is no problem with the right tires (did 90 once durring a long strait section) sure is crazy sounding, but everything felt super solid.... but i still have not tried to TURN at those speeds :D and dont think i will ;)

Yes but it is all stock now. I have to get Ryan's 73 done before we start on the bus. I hope to build the engine this winter. I am making engine parts cabinets for Jakes new shop and will get to build the bus engine at RAT for payment. It will be a 2L type 4 camper special with 36 dells to start, hopefully a CIS system later.
As for now the bus is orange and white with stock wheels and no engine (it is all in boxes on a shelf in the shop).
