Seen it in the gallery and WOW, that is great!! A spindle for the Standard Bug guys with the 944 mount. If I weren't a Super guy (meaning I owned a Standard) this is what I would have to have!!! What car is this from? Is the mount 76 or 94mm? Who found out about it?

Gerd Kummetat showed it to me while being in Germany. He is using it for his new drag racer.
It is from Brazil. I will try to find out which car and whcih bolt spacing it has.

Here is the info from Kummetat:
It is a Brazilian VW SP1 spindle. I am not sure if the SP2 spindle is the same. The bolt spacing is for 944 NA calipers or early 911 calipers. You might need to get a spacer to center the disk properly.

I thought that stock spindles are forged. It is not a dropped spindle and I ahve been told that they are extremely hard to get.

if someone was ambitious enough, they could find a pair and then contact someone like CB Performance to see if they could have them manufactured into a forged lowered spindle.
