Anybody like the early Germanlook that had the 15" ATS wheels?

I do.
I remember my friends using them on their SB verts in the early 90s. The rim still looks great on a bug.

The 5 Star ATS wheel for the 4x130 pattern. What ever happened to your Rabbit? I though it got smashed, answer me in a PM so we keep this post on topic.

I just restored a set of 15x5.5 ATS 5-Stars for the '75 GL Super I'm building. I stripped them then had the ribs and outer rim polished and the remainder painted gloss black. Think they will look great on the SB after it gets painted bright orange. Will post some photos when its finished. Am looking to purchase at least one more set in the near future. I think they look great and they are an easy upgrade when Porsche rims are not readily available. I'm with the US Military in Japan where anything Porsche is rediculoulsy expensive. Had planned on upgrading to Porsche when I get the car back to the US, but these rims look so good I might not bother.

To them there continental's we owe it all! :D
I got no more ATS pics.
My mate in Australia hates them, he say's they look like they're on backwards! :D
They are quite common over here in 13" on Opels and astras and...
But cool as when VERY wide 15's (or even 14's) on an '03, pref. 'vert, with fat fenders and coloured hood
More of your pics please Superman :silly: !!!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the 4 bolt ATS wheels for the bug are super sweet!!!!
I just wish there was a place in the USA to get them at a good price.
Old school GL's with them look sweet.. 15X8 fronts and 15X10's out back even better!
I'm still trying to see what they would look like on my Ghia though
:P

Tnx :D I have changed the ATS from white to black/polished. I will use the ATS until I can afford Porsche 17". Now i'm in the process of modifying my engine, from K-jet to EFI. A TEC-3 is purchased and will be installed when I can afford the accessories :(
I will update my HP with pix when I have done something new.

Here's a picture of my '75 GL. It has been in the shop for about 3 months and should be finished in about two weeks. I think it looks pretty classis with the restored ATS rims on it. Will post full details on car when it is complete. Think the site is great. Regards to all

Sheppsan is a Club SBO! Member, take a look at his car when he first got it not too long ago. It's coming along nicely and will probably be one of the first (if not the only) RHD Super in the United States, when he comes back from military duty in Japan.

Though my car would be finished by now, but we still have a few things left to do. However, it did move under its own power for the first time again today. Here's a picture of it. Will post more when it is finally finished.

Sorry Steve that i have to say this..
But i only want to give my opinion..
I find your car "heavyer" looking (if you no what I mean .. my english is not so good.. that is the look when someone in front of you on the highway goes away if he/ she looks in the mirror) on the old pics than on the new... Except of the ducktail :(
But yeah don't care what anybody says steve .... everybody just has its own taste and everyone makes his car to his taste...
By the way how much are your front fenders wider??
Greetings Wiebrand
p.s. why have i even said this.. my bug is stil on blocks
