Has anyone swapped the 1303 front struts onto a 1302?
How easy or difficult is this prodedure?
What does it entail?
Maybe this could be a tech artible for the site :)

1) Remove 1302
struts (with spindles)
control arms
sway bar

2) Install 1303
struts (with spindles)
control arms
sway bar

It's a straight forward swap, the gear box and tie rods don't have to be changed.

keep the 1302 top bearings with the car though.. 1303 struts on a 1302 will actually RAISE the ride height around an inch or so... if you keep the 1302 top bearings and put them ontop of the 1303 strut, the ride height will be about the same however....

The upper bearings do not affect the ride height; however, the upper spring perch (cup) does. Notice #21 on the left (1302) and #38 on the right (1303). The 1303 perch will raise the car about 1" and they are interchangable, consequently the 1302 perch will lower the car when used with a 1303 strut assembly.
