wheel adapters?

ok, i just bought a set of new vw wheels. 15x6. i need to adapt them to my 72 std beetle. is there anyone who makes a wheel adpter for 4x130 to 5x100. i know the rims are 5x 100. am i correct on the 4x130 of thw 72 beetle? i know 7 inch rims souch fit fit so i could possibly use up to an inch thick adapter and still be under the stock fenders, correct? i trying to see what will be cheaper, adapters or redrill the hubs, and use spacers to clear the castle nuts. what size spacer should i use and do i need longer studs if i go this route?

aslo does anyone offer a new drum for 5x100 to fit my 72?

If I recall correctly, I ordered my Drums and Rotors (5x100) from CIP.

thanks, i checked cip and they are asking 70 a drum, basically 280 a set. i can get my drums redrilled for 25 a piece. so 100 a set. im on a budget of course, so im looking to go the less expensive way. how about the rear spacer, what would i need to clear the castle nuts?

Not sure what size spacer you need.
Is the nut hitting the rim ?

I guess it all depends on the offset of the rim. I would just mock it up and make a wooden spacer or something before ordering anything.

BTW, also check your steering clearance, that was a big problem for me.

As to the studs, yes, if you are going to redril the drums, and use a spacer you will need longer studs.
Are you going to use press-in studs ?
Depending on what nuts you are going to use, measure carefully.
I first had studs that were too short, then I had studs that were too long (couldn't tighten the nut all the way).

My whole wheel experience has been a big PITA. First I had blank drums/rotors drilled by a local machine shop, but the bolts did not align properly with the rim, so I ordered custom rotors and drums.

Then my front wheels hit the beam under full lock, so I had to get spacers. Then I had to find the correct studs and nuts.....

All I can say is, do your research it will save you money and aggrevation in the end...

i think im just going to have the drums redrilled. ive spoken to lenner? at vdubcustoms in canada. can anyone vouch for their work? like em , hate em? anyways buy his response i feel like i can trust him, better than the old rednecks around here that are telling me they are "willing" to do anything. so what should i be looking for? or need? im thinking longer studs at all four corners with spacers to advoid the nut clearence problem. i havent checked, as my rims have not made it in yet. just going on the info ive found here. so any comments?

Lanner has not done any work for me (yet), but he is a member of the BoxerAutoGruppe and he's a straight-up guy.

If I were you I would not order anything until you have the rims and can mock it up. That way you can take accurate measurements and make sure you only have to order once.

From experience I know that 'yeah that will probably fit' usually means it doesn't ;)
