I have 72 standard and I plan to use 924 brakes disk in front and 924 drum in the rear...

Because it changes the bolt pattern...

Is this a good Idea and is it possible...

924 is same bolt pattern as 72 beetle

It should be a straight swap 924 is thea same bolt pattern as Volkswagen, it was designed by Porsche for VW initially. The 944 came with the porsche 5 lug pattern. I have two sets of 944 brakes NOT a straight swap. One is for sale, Check out Sale section. Good luck

There are no real benefits in the 924's 4 bolt brakes, they are so close in specs to the Beetle and the oddball 108mm bolt pattern will make wheel fitment difficult.

thanx for the info...

I just thought because it was easy to get these disc and that ford focus had the same pattern that it would be easy to find after market rims...

Were can I buy blank disc or some with other patterns?
