mustang bullit wheels on a standard bug?

I have a chance to buy a set of 2000 mustang bullit wheels...

they look like the 5 star empi wheels...

They are 17x8 245 45 17

will these fit on a beetle?

Will they fit under the stock fenders?

If not who sells good wide fenders?

I've seen a bug with these rims on but I think it needed some serious suspension/body narrowing to get them under stock fenders...
