I have a set of mangle rims (7") and have 195/50/15's on them. The front end is lowered with spindles. The tires seem to rub the stock fenders bad. I lowered the rear about an inch, it helped a little. What size tire is the best for this application??????

It's not the tire size that matters, it's the width and offset of the wheel. Seems like your front wheel is too wide and too far out from the centerline, and that forces the outside edge of the tire to hit the fender.

Nothing you can do about that except get wheels that fit better.

That's the way I see it. I'm not the best with standard beetle suspensions and I'm no wheel expert, but that's my take on it. Good luck.

I had some slight tire rub on my car in hard right turns (rubbed on the left front) had to go from a 205/55/16 to a 195/50/16 and it was cured. But if you are rubbing in a strait line you might need to narrow the front end(if it is a beam).
