anyone know anyone that deals in vintage plates. specifically GA plates? i want a 1973 for my bug and don't ever see them on ebay. saw a guy at BugJam, but all he had was FL plates.

I can't answer your question directly except to check on theSamba -- maybe even place a wanted ad.

My reason for responding is Maryland issued a plate in 1971 which was blue with white characters in honor of the Baltimore Colts winning Super Bowl V. Starting in 1972, Maryland switched to the stickers. New plates weren't issued again until 1976.

My point is to find 1975 Maryland plates for the car I don't yet have, my search parameters included all of the years from 1971 to 1975. Ironically, after I found the tags with letter-number combo I liked, my dad said, "You can have all of my tags dating way, way back."

If Georgia is the same, maybe you can broaden your search and get more hits.
