I'm too lazy to go find my manual, so I'll just ask here :o
How do I remove the rear quarter windows of my '70 Bug ?
I removed the chrome trim, but I'm kinda hesitant to just start pushing
the window out...
Btw, does the chrome trim have a function ? It looks a lot better without it :D

Cut the seal with a box cutter. Start your cut about 8mm out from the glass on the outside of the car. Once you've made the cut over the entire circumfrence, pull that part of the seal off. Have a friend hold the glass from the outside while you push from the inside and the glass will easily come out.
Seals are cheap so I always replace them when I take out a window.

The chrome trim secures the glass, the rubber that you have is easier to fit but NEEDS the trim, most replacment rubbers will be the type without the chrome which is a little harder to fit but like you say 'it does look better' without the chrome, so remove the glass as yetibone described and replace with new rubbers (I bet you bent the chromes beyond all recognition any way  )

When you go to replace that rubber, get it from a reputiable shop, such as west coast metric. Also, J-bugs has good rubber components, and will sale it to you as the PHATEST kit on the market...every rubber piece in/on a bug....for around $500...of course that is..if you need all that....
I think a regular "callook" style window seal kit, (for all 4 windows, not the doors though) is about $40.
