i can't say i care for NASCAR at all, but March 12th they have an IMAX film of NASCAR in 3D. makes it a must see for me. though i would share. if you are not familiar with IMAX, they are films shot in 70mm (i think) and shot on a wrapped screen that is usually north of 7 stories tall. and always great sound. :agree:

not a big fan of Nascar either, but that would probably be pretty cool on IMAX.

WWF on IMAX
I'll wait for WRC, F1, ALMS or something like that. I hate NASCAR.

im sure ill go and see it too, but i have to admit i like NASCAR. for one, its the only racing you can see when you dont have cable. secondly, i also hated NASCAR before i went with a friend to see a race. sitting on the fence as cars pass by at 180+mph, you can feel the wind and the heat off the cars. you get to feel and hear the power of the engines, you can feel and taste and smell the high octane buring, the oil and rubber off the track as it pelts you. plus with 80000 drunk rednecks, its a great time for all. :haveadrin

i certainly see why people like it. american stock cars just don't do much for me. we should plan a trip to Road Atlanta someday Neil. it is up near my place. they race real cars there. Petite LeMans is in October, but depending on when the EuroFest 2004 is, i may go to it instead. i've done PL just about ever year. very fun, but very expensive for a family of 4.

ALMS is great. NASCAR is the WWF of motorsport. Common template cars, I gave up on them when they dropped the rule that you had to sell so many of a modle to run it in the series, I don't see any rear wheel drive V-8 sold at a dealer but they run them on a NASCAR team. Mid season rule changes and having teams sub real drivers for their go-fast turn left drivers when they do run on a real track(road coarse). For me it all adds up to one big joke. But that is just one mans opinion.
