VW Trends- October '02. Who saw the blue '66 GL Bus with the Porsche 18's, 3.6L, big reds and a tiptronic box? Also has power steering and A/C. Gotta find that for a feature.

Beautiful machine. Never thought I'd see a bus with a rollcage, but then, it did have a 3.6l 911 in the back...

I saw this bus at Petit Lemans this past weekend in Atlanta. I didn't have a chance to catch up with him though.:( I wish I did. I'd love to get a ride.

how was the race? i was supposed to be there. we have been every year, but the last two i just have not been able to make it. this year i had to head down to fla for a battle of the bands showing at Club Levela (of MTV spring break fame). good call though. good sized crowd and better label and radio exposure. we got 4th out of 20 bands (only 3 points out of 1st though) and are getting some airplay from 97X out of it. so you guys down near panama city listen out for us. the band's name is powerplay.

Race kicked ass. 10 hours long. Audi placed first (again). They also placed 6th and 8th. They clinched a bid going to 24 hours in France. Aside from the LMS, I also saw Speed Cup GT and TC World Challenge, Formula Mazda, Formula Zetec (Ford) and Panoz Challenge races. It was an awesome weekend. Lots of Porsche. I also met Derek Bell and Michael Galatti of the Audi GT team and Tom Fowler of the Mazda TC team. That was the coolest part of the weekend. Rained on Thurs. Fri. and Sat. were excellent. We hung out with the guys from Balanced Performance and Sunbelt Performance (whom my friend works for) so we had shelter from the rain. Glad to hear you band did well also. We'll be going next year again so maybe I'll see you then.
