I know this forum is mostly AC VW fans and experts, but the VWVortex forums don't even seem to be interested in viewing my question. I figured someone here would be nice enough and knowledgable to help me with it.
What are the physical differences between different late model ignitions? I have the part numbers:
4D0 905 855 E ---> 1999-earlier Audi A4
4D0 905 855 D ---> New Beetle, Passat Syncro
4D0 905 855 B ---> Passat, 1999.5-newer Audi A4
357 905 855 B ---> 1999 Mexican Golf
Are any of these parts interchangeable? If not identical, is it possible to make them work?
A side question: Which door locks for these same cars are capable of being exchanged?
