Yeah, I saw that, too. I hope they will include later year VWs -- especially Supers -- in the future. Sure looks nice.

What does the stock hood weight, mine doesn't feel that heavy.

Will that work on my 1969 if I weld on the front panel for the earlier beetle.??

If it stops raining at my house I will push the car outside to get the hood out and weigh it on my scale.

I don't think it will weigh anymore than 20 lbs.

It looks like you have to cut out the vents though. I looked at the pictures and you can see the indentations for the vents but they are not there.

Zen, I think joe said the street version weighed around 3lbs and the race version was like a 1.5lbs

I forgot to weigh it before I shipped out to you but I know the box weighed about twice as much the the lid did. If you get a chance post a pic of it.

300 usd ?, if you guys say its cheap it must be :P but my 72 SB cost me 250 usd in pesos wich where 13k Dominican Pesos, so i would have a hood thats worth more than the car, and some ricer will probably steal it to put it on his honda just to say he has a CF hood :)

its cheap compared to the Remelle CF hood for over $800.

well a civic took its revenge on my, now i have this huge dent on my 72 SB,
any one knows any good sites that sell the CF hood for a 72 SB ?
