a part left over?

I now this is not the right way to do things, but I am not driving the car. I lowerd the car with a kit from MOORE Parts Source in Anaheim CA. I got struts and inserts, there add says the kits from Latest Rage.

the end of the new strut insert is shorter then the stock one. so I have a part left over. dont now what to do with it. :confused:

Do you have a bump stop in there? Can you get your plastic cap back on the bearing housing?
