HI,
Please help me with this.

I´m building a 550 spyder with 901 trans

I already have the 901- 73-76 914 sideshifter trans with complete linkage.

I supose that I will need the following parts to can acoplate this engine to the trans:

Flywheel- 912 (every model with stock but optional 901 trans every year. Except the 76 e model (type 4)and all the previous 4 forward speed trans (356) 902.

starter- 911-912-914 also the new one 1.5 hp can fit.

Pressure plate - 901-911-912(901)-914

cluth (911 6 springs or 914 4 spring ) I wil go to 6.

trow out bearing- any of the 901 trans models ? i´m not sure ?

I believe is everything ?

Somebody told me that I can adapt a 914 type 4 flywheel to my crank, but I believe that a bolt in 912 is ok.
Except because a used but good condition 914 flyweel is about $ 35 and the 912 $ 150 (new one are expnesive ! )

What about the shafts ?

let me know

regards

Eduardo,
What engine are you planing on using?? Type 1 or type 4?
Don't get a '76 912E clutch/flywheel, it won't work in a 901. I thought an early 912 flywheel would fit a type 1 engine but was told it takes some machine work to do it. A type 4 flywheel (914) will not work on a type 1 engine. The easiest engine to use would be the type 4 with a 914 clutch/flywheel.
