5 spd for a 1972 superbeetle

Would like to know what 5 speed transmission I would use to converting my bug from a 4 speed and what do I need besides the transmission. How hard is it to do and what fabing do I need to do.

Either the Berg5 kit on a VW IRS or the Porsche 901 (from an early 911 or 914). There have been posts about the 901 converstion and also check out the tech articles and gallery.

Or, if you anticipate a really strong engine, the porsche 915 trans ;)

I was either going to run a 1776, 2017 scat engine kit or 1.8-2.0 bus motor in the bug in the near future.
