i saw two kinds of rear aprons on a bug
the first one is Flat the second is like FAT !!!
most of the cars that do have the second are 1303 :rolleyes:
so is it original or modified or wats the difference ???

The fat one is on a Fuel Injected car.

my 75 1303 has the bubble rear apron... it was a fuel injected car :D

my 1973 got this bubble rear upron and its not fueled injected but it looks better on it :) :agree:

i just found out today that there are no fuel injected bugs in egypt looool :)
they imported them and swapped the engines with the carburater :laugh:

The US had two for their Supers: one for fuel injection and catalytic converter (1975-79 model years) and one for familiar pea-shooters (1971-74).
If we're talking worldwide, I believe there are more than just two rear aprons. In fact, there may be more than two "bubble" aprons.
I was investigating the notion that Supers were manufactured outside of Germany, and I thought I noticed differences in aprons. I will double-check the sources I have access to.
