I would like some help in order to identify from what year/model is a 944 rear control arm with number 951.331.514.04 ssw note that the 4 is stampted and not pressed as the other ones... does the ssw mean anything?theres a pic attach to help...

according to this thread, those are the late wider aluminum ones..

yea, unless they are off of a '86, they are late arms. i could tell with a pic of the whole arm. just look for a bumpstop pad area. if it has one, it is early. without, it is a late arm.

thanx for the help guys. it looks like they are the late ones...
yep those are late. if you need a point of reference on track width, go to the VKG site (http://www.volksport.net ) image gallery and look at my car. i have the late arms on with 3" wider fenders and 17x8.5ET48 rims with no spacers. should give you some idea of how much wider.

LOoking at your part no. any porsche part numbers with 951 beginning it 944 turbo.

true, but the 951's had two different arms. narrow for 1986 and wide for the rest of the years. about a 1.5" track difference between them.

Isn't that the early and late alu arms the same but only the early and late hubs are different which causes the late model to have wider track?
