adjustable spring plates

Im looking into installing adjustable spring plates on my 78 super. Ive located a set of used torsion bars off a 66 beetle. Can I use these ones? Also how hard is it to realign the car after installing these plates?

im pretty sure you can't, the early bugs, swing axles, used short torsion bars where as the later irs bugs use a long torsion bar.
