I am planning on running a brake servo on my daughters T1. And as it would be such a pain to fit to the bulk head I have come up with a cunning plan. But will it work?

Front brakes are standard T1 disc's with Talbot Horizon Calipers
Rear brakes are Porsche 924 Turbo disc's and calipers.

What I have in mind is running a 924 Turbo servo and master cylinder mounted remotly either in the luggage bay or behind the rear seat. I would then mount a single circuit T1 master cylinder in the normal position linked to a Clutch slave cylinder to actuate the 924 servo.

It has crossed my mind that mounting behind the rear seat would be good as it would be nearer to a vacume tack off trom the carbs and also on the brake line running to the front I could install a bias valve.

What do you guys think? Will it work, would it be safe, am I nuts, should I revert to drums all round and a 30 hp 1200

Thanks in advance Steve

I know those big vacuum brake assist thingys are a pain in the a**.

How about using a electrical one? From one of the g60's, or some other forced induction car, as quite alot of them has electrical servos..
