Would it be advantageous to add a third member to the strut suspension of a 1303? What I mean is, since I'm thinking of fabbing up a lower control arm from tubing (to accomodate porsche ball joints and possibly some camber adjustability), wouldn't it make sense to triangulate it and attach it with a bushed fitting to the front framehead? I haven't really thought this out yet (or even looked at my car for that matter), but wouldn't it make sense? Most modern strut suspensions I've seen utilize a lower control arm with two frame mounts, gotta be an improvement in stiffness at least.
I'm sure someone with more subject knowledge has a better idea about this?

I believe that yetibone would be able to help with this. Check out this thread to see his progress on this.

A freind of mine s1fter (who occasionally visits here) has done this to his 1302.
He remade the lower arm, but turned it into an A arm, with rose joints at all corners to adjust camber and caster etc.
Hope this sparks off a few ideas for you.
Cheers
