Some of out VW bretheren have spearheaded a private campaign to buy, and deliver needed goods to the victims of the hurricane in LA, and MS.

This is a grass-roots effort set up by regular folks. No beauracracy, or red-tape. What you can contribute is used directly to buy supplies, and said supplies are then delivered directly to a drop-off point to be divied up equally for the nearby shelters.
