anyone done 19" wheels on a bug

have a 1303, looking into porsche wheels, something like cup3

would 19" fit 17" sound like they are no problem,

any comments welcome.

pps.

kersher front struts, 3" wider front wings

2" wider rear wings.

what sort of off set would i be looking for.

i might go to the scrap yard and get 1 or 2 wheels of different sizes.

I have seen cars other than VW that are spoiled by the wheels being to tall, the cars get a Tonka car look about them. On the German look page under wheels on page 2 there is a white beetle with 19s, thats the Tonka car look.

Hey, check out hugovw1976's beetle in the engine forums. You can also look at his car on the non forum site in the members rides tab. He's got 19" on with wider fenders. Im waiting for his reply to see if he just installed them with the wide fenders or if he had to do any extra modifications.
