I am looking for a deck lid for my '67. As I shall be welding in some air vents I am not overly concerned about the condition. (Within reason of course.) In the very near future I may be in the market for front and rear bumpers for this car as well.

I have 2 in great shape but I do not think you want to pay to have it shipped that far.

Yes, the shipping cost from N.C. to Vancouver BC would be a bit steep. I was hopping to find a deck lid a little closer to home. Finding one in Seattle or Portland would make for a good excuse for taking a long weekend. Oh well, if I am unable to soon find one closer to home I may just have to enquire about the shipping. Would you mind emailing me what you have in mind for a fair price? Thanks.

It is only going to cost me $20 in gas to go get one out of storage. Being I would not need it anymore ,plus the cost of shippig, I would say $20 plus packing and shipping to you. I guess should kep atleast one of them for the future.

Thanks. $20USD seems rather fair. Would you have any idea (a rough ballpark) on what you think the packing and shipping costs would amount to?

I haven't yet been able to find a deck lid closer to home. I will measure and weigh mine in order to get a good guesstimate from UPS. I need a deck lid sooner as opposed to later so I shall be happy to take yours at the proffered $20USD plus packaging and shipping.

Thanks,

VW911,

Hi there. I am assuming that your '67 deck lid is approx 38 x 30 in length and width and about 6 inches or so deep. I weighed the deck lid off of my '72SB. If the bathroom scale is close it is somewhere around 10 1/2 - 11 lbs. I am unable to use the UPS Quick Cost Calculator (web page) as I need to be able to plug both your city and postal code in (as well as mine). This doesn't account for your packaging costs either. Let me know. Thanks.

Cheers,

Jeannot
