3 questions on late model (around 88 or or smething) 944 turbo trailing arm swaps into a 1302
is there a different offset than that of the 1302s?
will i have to do any springplate modifications?
will the shock mounts line up with the bug ones?
thanks

Late alum like the ones I am running are wider, how much can't remember..
You can use the 944 ones but have to cut part of the 944 spring plate off.. or use the beetle one with beetle bushings.. be warned, I was only able to get the inboard 944 bushing off the spring plate, and that was quite a pain.. that let me run the inboard beetle and 944 out board with 944 spring plate..
For the shocks you could use your beetle ones.. I bought off a member an extra set of bolts for the lower attachment point.. can't remember the details, but has to do with a different size bolt for the where it attaches to the alum arms..

blehh
different diameter bolt? no, right, just length?
i don't want to have to fabricate too much because they're aluminum, and i can't weld aluminum.
wider so much that i'll have to get wider fenders? or just use a different offset and i should be good? something tells me the later with porsche wheels...
i need the mounts to line up because i'm switching over to coil-over and i don't want to have to **** around with that too much
the spring plate issue...well that might be an issue, becaseu i need to get the torsion bar elimination spring plates, i might just make my own. whatever, it's cool to actually think and make your own things sometimes, i'll work something out
thanks LOAF

Early and late Alloy arms require longer axles.

Hi
I measured the rear track on my 1303, wheel bolt flange to wheel bolt flange.
Stock 1303 arms with Type 3 drums =1405 mm
Early alloy 944 alloy arms with stock rotors =1490 mm
