How do I paint magnesium transmission cases? I've seen it done, but I'd like to get good information on how to/materials used/etc.

I have used in the past Epoxy Primer. I work with helicopters so I get to work with all types of metals and use what protects them the best.
The stuff we use is great but I'm not sure whats avialable to you?

I've used "House Of Kolor" brand paint products for years. They have several two part epoxy primers. The one I like the best is "KP-2CF" it works with magnesium. You can order it at www.hokpaint.com they ship in the US, or there may be a automotive paint store near you that carries it. PPG, BASF, Kirker, and other paint manufacturers make a "epoxy primer" also, but info on how to use them is not always on the can. HOK has tech info on the site to help.;)
