Are std bug master cylinder 67-79 and super beetle mc 71-> interchangeable?

Read: can I use a std mc in my super?
I know the piston dia is the same but is there something else to know???

The bolt pattern is different I believe.

If I remember correctly, the bolt pattern is the same. The super is without a doubt differant than a standard bug. Want me to take picture of both side by side?

I've seen a standard MC on an early super. The person had to cut parts of the frame head off to get it to fit. And it still didn't work correctly.

Thanks but I already found a web page with a picture of them.

OK, I`ll get a mc for super - anyone want to buy a std one?

CSP sells an adaptor to install standard (or same bolt pattern) mc on a super beetle.

Thanks Tim, but if the CSP kit costs as much as an new super mc, then I`ll just sell the std one and buy an super mc.

SB and BJ master bolt pitch is the same, but the BJ is horizontal and the SB is at an angle (about 30 degrees). You gotta get the right one for your car, or else the resevoir fittings will not be on top.
