996 on 944T arms

I have searched the archives re fitting 996 calipers on 1985.5 - 944T aluminium arms and suffering info overload.

Do I understand correctly that one can use the 86 turbo rotor, and make an adapter for the axial to radial caliper mount?

Can this adapter be bought?
Anyone have a pic or link so that I can get an idea

That would be a question for Lanner (screen name flat on here). He makes brackets to go from axial to radial.
