I have just finished the front 944 na brakes on my bug ,but can anyone tell me the orientation of the notch on the piston.I have positioned it the same as my old beetle ones roughly, but what is it for?

Well obviously no one here knew the answer ,but i just found out .The cut out is to allow the pad to toe in ,this reduces vibration .the cut out is set with an imaginary line from the hub centre going across the piston cut outs and lower part of step in the direction of travel.:p
