Due to the number of inquires I have received, figured we would post some pics to help clarify a few issues.

First, the mounting of the front traverse. As you can see from the pictures, the mounting point is the lower portion of the IRS bracket.

Secondly, some question involving the cutout for the gearbox shifter and coupling to go thru.

Hope that helps. Again any question feel free to contact us.

I am just about to install this and am converting a swing axle pan to IRS using brackets purchased from CIP. These conversion brackets are open on the bottom and will therefore need a plate welded in to mount this transverse mount.
What is the importance of the little wedges, and how to incorporate into the conversion bracket?

My parts came from Germany as I am in Thailand but no instructions.
How does the rear mount attach to the box - drill holes or weld the aluminium mounts to the bellhousing?

Presumably this transverse is bolted to the box????

Hi Hoghead,

the wedges are only needed if you work with the original floorpan with IRS. The original brackets are not horizontally oriented and to compensate this the wedges are. If you have to weld plates to the brackets that you have then simply adjust them horizontally, then you don´t need the wedges.

The rear traverse has to be bolted against the bellhousing. For this drill through the bellhousing into the aluminium parts and then cut in threads. Take bolts that can be sunk in the bellhousing. Take 2 on each of the aluminium blocks.

Please send me an email if you´ve got more questions.
