will these fit ....final time i hope

stock drums redrillied for 5-130 and phoe dials with the 23.3mm et 15x7inch.Will they fit inside the stock fenders?Also what size et would i need for the front and would i need to narrow the front at all.

Would the 15x6's with the high offset be a better option for a Standard 72 bug with IRS, stock fenders,drums with the 5-130 bolt pattern and eventually lowered some?

Hi

On my old daily driver I used 6x15 ET 36 Cookies on the front and on the rear 7x15 ET 23 Cookies. This was a standard type bug with a beam front end. They fitted fine.

Cool so since the 15x7 cookies with a 23et fit nice under the rear then the phones with the 15x6 and 7 width will fit with the same offset?
What bout the Phones with the high offset but 6" wide, will they fit w/o spacers?
Steve on the front of your bug, was the front beam narrowed at all?

I'm not sure what offset the 6 inch high offset wheels are. The front beam was stock apart from lowering on that car.

The 6" Phones come 23.3et or 53et.Since the Cookies are 23et as a 7" wide, does that mean they'll fit nicely inside the fenders and possibbly I wont need to narrow the frontend then.:D If so thats what I want.

The 6" Phones with a 53et will sit 30 mm closer to your inner fender than the 23 et ones.

IM kinda confused with these offset things.OK, the 53mm 15x6's wont stick out but I'll need spacers right?THe ones with the 23mm offset they will stick out then?

there 15x8 with a 25mm et, I played with this site

comparing them to the stock 15x4.5" rims with the 34et, these wheels will be 100% clear (leaves even more room than OEM) and will stick out 14 mm (0.6'') farther which I dont think will be a problem, just maybe narrow the frontend maybe 4"
Then the other ones IM thinking od are 15x7 Axis OG San with a 35et

and according to the tire/wheel site the clearancing will clear in the suspension and fenders.Both weigh 14lbs each which is a plus.I'd just buy the 4-100 drums from cip1 and run the drums for a little while.

Which you guys think will look better on a bug thats baby blue with the stock offwhite fenders?

Well I just found out that the stock vw wheel offsets for the 4.5" is actually 46mm et.So can someone tell me please if this is a good thing.I know the 4.5's sit inside the fenders pretty deep under there, so if I got a 15x7" rim for front and rear with a 35et offset I should be find according to that site in the previuos post.Says I'd be 100% clear of the suspension parts, and the package will stick out 11mm (0.4") farther.
Now with the 15x8's with the 25mm et, it says the suspension will be clear and stick out 26mm (1") farther to the fenders.
My question now is would the frontend need to be narrowed then?

I finally decided IM going to get a set of Axis rims....they are 15x7 with a 38et and 15x8 with a -27et (will require 3" wider fenders)

Just for kicks and giggles I did a photoshop of my bug.My other car is a 96 Sentra, and it has a set of 5zigen RSX-6's on it.There 15x6.5, offset unknown to me.
What you guys think, its different.The sentra Im eventually goin to get rid of but not anytime soon just yet.Since these wheels were 160 each new an arent that old, thought maybe switch them over to my bug.There Hyper Black by the way.The tires on them now are 195/50/15's on the sentra, but on the bug Id go the same size.What you guys think?
