I think i'm gonna put some 17s on my project 70.....

I wanna go for a mean look, probably deep dish, something that stands out, and I'm gonna put 17x7 in the front, and 17x9 in the rear. Now I just gotta find some rims that size......

anyways, what size tire would go with that rim in the front and back???

how wide of a fender do I need to get to fit those wheels?

The ideal (for me) is 205/40 & 245 or 255/40.
Offset ET 23.3,40,47,50,52,55,65 ?
More info required : what type of brakes , narrow or std beam etc.

I agree, 205-40 up front and 255-40 out back.

I know Borbet makes wheels in all kinds of sizes and offsets.

I would go 2" up front and 3" out back, with some simple deep dish wheels. Dump the car, get wide running boards and it'll look mean!

You may want to pick around at www.vwvortex.com The H2O "euro look" is all about deep dish wheels. You'll be sure to find a few more wheel types there.

Hey, thanx alot,

actually, not sure on the whole brake thing either......

that is another thing that I need to figure out,

the whole

Brake/Wheel/Lug Pattern/Fender width/Suspension height

thing is just so confusing to me for some reason..........

if you mean shortened front beam, no I havent done that yet, should I????

its only gonna be a quarter mile car, but i'd stilll ike SOME road handling abilities to come out of it..........
