So I go to Western Washington University and am in the Vehicle engineering program. I am also on the Formula SAE team and this is our car for this year:

Its a pre-preg 3k carbon-fiber mono-coque with a nomex core front chassis and a steel tube frame rear.

with 600cc Honda f4i bike motor

the entire car is designed and built in the shop at school.

That's awesome. I've seen that competition on Daily Planet the other day, looks like tons of fun.

I totally agree with you. Last year I finished High school and this Sunday I'm headed back to the states after spending a 9 month "Sabbatical" year of sorts living with a family in Spain. So I agree that staying in school will def increase your chances of income, but there's other things that can help to :) Like speaking Spanish fluently.

hey Thats really awsome that you are interested. If you end up coming to western just come by the Engineering building and go down stairs to the VRI (Vechicle Research Institute) and start asking about the formula team.
This comming fall or end of summer (september) would be best for checking everything out. mean while check out our webite wwufsae.com for up dates on our cars and the program.
