What is it that make the 944 rear arms more desirable than the VW arms?

I havent seen the ali ones close up, but the only difference I could find on the steel ones was the facility to run a rear anti-roll bar.

Hi

The 944 spring plates for steel & alloy arms are adjustable for height, the toe & camber are more easily adjusted with both the alloy & steel arms.

You gain extra distance between the wheel bolt faces which can aid you when fitting Porsche off set wheels.

Of course you gain very good rear disc brakes.

Can the 944 adjustable springplates be used with the STD IRS arms?

Hi

The ones from the steel 944 arms can be used with late bug arms (single spring plate type) OK. The 944 v bug arms, the 944 arm has an extra hole drilled in it for adjustment.
