Shifter Setup???

I want to use a Porsche 914,5 speed, side shift T-axle in my Beetle with a 914 motor in a mid motor setup? Has anyone setup the shifter for this kind of swap, and can you use a Scat VW shifter? :confused:

If you convert the nose-cone, you can use the std 914 shifter.

If I read your post right, your wanting to run a MID-ENGINE set-up (just like in the 914) in your bug. The stock 914 linkage may help get an idea on what could be made to work, but the 914 is a uni body completely different than pan based bug. An idea might be to look at the linkage the rail buggies running mid engine set-ups use, and modify that type with 914 stock stuff.
