Is there some trick to getting my 951 spring plates apart to rebuild them? I tried my breaker bar on the two big bolts, and I can't get them to budge. I coated them in PB Blaster too, and no dice. Like I said, is there a trick? Do I just need to attack them with an impact wrench?

Hi

Put them in a well secured vbench vice and use a 3/4 bar on them with a bit of pipe or use a impact wrench.

If you don't have an impact wrench try asking at a local tyre shop that does trucks etc.

Do the halves just pull apart then, or are the retained somehow?

Turns out a blow torch works well. I got them unbolted, but now I can't get the rubber bushings off. I've cut them off in chucnks the best I can, but it there an easy (ok, how about even possible) way to get all the rubber from the bushings off?

I burned mine off as much as I could. Then, used a wire wheel on a die grinder to get the rest. (they are not easy to get off at all)
