So I went to a Track day Last Week and WOW Soo much fun
and I got to know the Manager and got all the Info SO ya I was,
going to Set up a Track day for us.
So who would want to it's bout $$65-75$$$ (8-10)cars
but that's all the Laps you want So let get everyone and we can make it Cheaper, Let me know and I can Start to Set things up.

stock autostick drive train, but the suspension is done up nice for twisties:
braced stock beam up front, drop spindles, whiteline sway, bilsteins
rear adjusters, bugpack sway, bilsteins

205/40/17s all around

it would be interesting what driver/suspension can do with 65 horses and a torque converter

that or bring the 911 ... been done before

Mississauga Man Killed In Race Track Accident
Saturday July 19, 2008

A Mississauga man died Saturday after a crash at a race track near Brantford.

OPP say 73-year-old Sidney Paine was driving his car around the track at the Dunnville Autodrome Saturday morning, when the 1991 Mazda Miata left the track and smashed into a building.

Bystanders performed CPR until emergency personnel arrived, but Paine was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem will be held Sunday as the OPP investigation continues.

$75 for 3 hrs is an amazing price during a week day .... LOTS of turbo cars there, it definately gave me the motivation to get my pan finished.

I'll get that video of a lap in the civic on youtube this weekend. If your civic can handle the track, there is no reason that any aircooled with some brakes could not be there.

I didn't think we were going to make some of those turns at the speeds we were going but somehow you pulled it off :lmao:

Dunnville is a "momentum" track from what I saw, 3rd gear max on a stock T1 gearbox ... brakes are a MUST if you do more than 3 hot laps. :D

There is a video on youtube of a 911 GT3 lapping at Dunnville ... you could time the run on the video and then figure out how you would compare.

Well Michael, last year I drove he car three times which was great because it gave me a change to work out the bugs during the winter. I did have some issues and one serious one. First issue, I have a Sharp Built Shroud and on the install I had to cut off the original oil filler hole which intern becomes a holder for the fan and alternator holder. Well I only tacked the aluminium plate and the torque from the pulley broke the tack but I caught it in time and it was repaired ( no damage ). Second issue ! Brakes. I replaced the brakes after years of mental abuse from the one and only Lanner. The brakes are done the stopping power is amazing and it's really cool. Third problem! After completing the brakes I purchased rims. I am trying to keep the original fenders for the front and rear but I got 7's in the front and 9's in the rear. I do have short axles and it's a swingaxle car. Again Lanner told me that it would not work but the stubborn person that I am had to learn the hard way. I was more determined to make it work because the rims where polished and so I was trying to work with them( budget, budget):eek: . I then had to purchase 7 X 17" for the rear as well so I no have to sell my 7 X 9's and there are two pairs and one is polished and the other regular with brand new tires. The last fix was the tranny. Around 4 years ago I purcased my Tranny and it was a steal, couldn't refuse it although I know that I had to rework the gears. Over the winter I also changed the two last gears so I can hit the track but also go on a cruise. All this was done and let me tell ya, being a lone ranger is rooough, I applaud all de boys out there who works alone.

Well ohhhh yes I discovered some more bugs but these are easy fixes. It's strictly amazing the car pulls in every gear and ohhh boy it flies, I need more.

What ever day in Sept is fine with me ... I won't be driving the beetle, but will be brining the video camera again.

That ride in your car Chris has got me thinking about suspension setup with my beetle. I'm ordering the rear coilovers soon but I think I will up the spring poundage and perhaps get a double adjustable shock.

I need to find a way to get the adjustability back in my rear swaybar as my 915 mount is in the way now :o

There is that one long sweeper where I think my rear tires will be rubbing quite a bit on the fenders :eekno:

There's only one problem with October 19th, the weather. Ya never know what the weather is like. I can assume that in the A.M. it's going to be very cold and between 2:00 and 5:00 ish, it gets warm. For the 19th then I would really condiser these times. The good news is by then we should have more cars coming out for a last hurawwww. Hope fully there's no snow..LOL
