Hey all,

I Thought I'd toss up a few pics of the changes I've made to the car this spring. Namely the 914 rear disc conversion, and the addition of a ZF LSD.

The ZF I rebuilt after machining new thrust washers to replace the trashed ones.

Still working on some tuning gremlins, but overall the car is almost the way I want it.

Couple questions: that mid-mount only 'rests' on the framehorns, correct ? It's not actually mounted to them ?

Where did you get the brackets for the rear swaybar ? I have the bar (from a Porsche I believe), but I have none of the brackets.

Yes the mid-mount just rest snugly against the frame horns and prevents the transmission from lifting upwards. It's a GREAT addition to help control wheel hop.

As for the sway bar, the brackets they came with the sway bar (Bugpack $120 if I remember right) They are dead nuts simple though, it's a piece of 1/4 steel bent into an "L" shape with a few holes. I had to open the holes up on mine though, they were like .05" too small. I also had to trim a little off of the included bolt/washers because they interfered with the factory hardware. Other then that great kit for the price, it included the stainless band clamps, urethane bushings/grease and nice hardware. It certainly makes the car handle MUCH better. I have yet to instal the front sway bar because I've heard mixed thoughts on them. Some autocrossers and hill climbers don't like running front ones. I want to get used to just the rear, then see what differences the front makes.

Thanks for the Info Alex, I'll see if they sell the mounting brackets separately.

As to the front swaybar, it's funny you mention that as I have been thinking of getting rid of mine. The front if the car feels way to stiff and the rear too loose, so adding a bar at the back and losing the one at the front should make a big difference.
