I couldnt go either, but i did make progress on the ghia.
car is stripped/blasted, been cutting and welding panels like a fiend

Pretty crappy day. Cold with some rain.

I didn't feel like digging around, and coming off of the night shift was tired. I went up to look around. He still has tons of stuff, wants good money for it, but seems very flexible. Asked him when he needed to be off the property, he says, "In about 6 months". So, i'll be back in the spring. :lmao:

It was cold and rainy but I came dressed for it. LOTS of stuff still there if you are looking ... I scored a 95% complete 1.7L T4 longblock for $150. I have the spare rockers / pushrods / pushrod tubes to complete it.

Hoping to build a mileage motor out of this one (78.4mm x 90mm = 2016cc).

I'd like to go back during a weekend to pick up some front end components.

Nice score Sandeep, you got the complete motor and it's from a Porsche and not a bus. Can't wait until next year to see the car and the new motor, I know I cant wait you must be so excited.
