Good ideas! A little extreme for me though :D .

Pretty sure someone has a panel van over here with exactly what you were planning. If I find a pic I will post it..

Thanks!

Hey, I just aquired a '58 panel that is amost completly solid (a few small patches, and a lot of dents to bang out)
so I'm pondering this question as well. I'm debating over going to the original color (monotone greenie grey) or to do a new color of some sort, in monotone or two tone. but either way I want to do a LOGO of some sort, either for my company or a porsch/vw related logo. |
Check out page 56 of this months Hot VWs (June 2005) for a Panel with a Porsche/VW logo. Apparently Porsche used the 68-72 model panel buses for service vehicles at race tracks.
Where could I find more information on distressing a logo? I've got my eye on a semi-beat up 71 bus that I want to use for a work horse/tower for the Super race car that I'm building. It's got faided read paint and it would look really cool if I could do some type of vw/porsche logo that looks as old as the bus does. |
Distressed logo
One way of having the distressed look would be to have the logo air-brushed on (those guys can do almost anything you want), unfortunatly this would also be the most expensive way.
edited because I can't spell............................................. .................................... |
How about this one?
It might keep people from parking too close at least  http://66.34.72.138/gallery/image/2005023b.JPG |
That's what I want. I want to design and have a Porsche/VW designed logo on the side of the bus, and make it look really old.
